Every believer has a specific purpose and anointing placed upon them by God in their spiritual journey. The true source of the anointing is the Holy Spirit. This power is not derived from worldly education, degrees, or human connections; rather, it is a divine strength poured out upon those who believe, just as it was on the Day of Pentecost. However, simply receiving this precious anointing is not enough; preserving and increasing it is equally challenging.
The most vital key to preserving the anointing is Unity. Psalm 133 makes it clear that where brothers dwell in harmony and unity, there God pours out the oil of anointing. Anointing is not something to be sprinkled; it is a flow that remains active only in an environment of unity. Conversely, when Comparison and competition take root in our hearts, the oil of anointing begins to dry up. Comparison reflects spiritual immaturity and shifts our focus away from Christ toward man. We must understand that every believer has a unique spiritual "DNA"; therefore, measuring ourselves against others is an insult to the Creator’s design.
Another strong foundation for preserving the anointing is Faithfulness. The Parable of the Talents in Matthew 25 teaches us that God gives gifts according to our ability. Spiritual promotion is not a coincidence or an accident; it is the reward for faithfulness shown in small responsibilities. When we stop envying the gifts of others and remain content and faithful in our own calling, only then does God entrust us with greater authority.
In conclusion, to preserve your anointing, abandon the habit of comparison, create an atmosphere of unity in your church and family, and be faithful to the gifts given to you. Remember, the Kingdom of God does not advance through competition, but through humility and faithfulness.
