Obedience:The Power That Changes Tomorrow
Your life of tomorrow is being built by the obedience you show today; faith without obedience has no foundation.
Speaker: Pastor Binay Bhandari
Your life of tomorrow is being built by the obedience you have shown today. 1 John 2:3-5 teaches us that obedience itself is the greatest evidence of our close relationship with God. Truly knowing God is not seen only in going to church or participating in religious activities; rather, it is revealed in how we obey His commandments. Faith without obedience is like a house that looks beautiful from the outside but has no foundation.
The Holy Bible shows us a clear truth: when we are obedient, only then do success and changes come into our lives. Even before a miracle happened, Noah built the ark, Abraham left his country, and Peter began walking on the water. These great people of faith did not wait for the storm to calm; they moved forward once God spoke. If you are waiting for a miracle before you move forward, you are losing the key that unlocks God's wonderful work.
We must also avoid the trap of partial obedience. As King Saul experienced, obeying only the things you like is actually a form of disobeying God. God does not seek religious "sacrifices" to cover our stubbornness; He desires a fully devoted heart. In fact, the main reason for disobedience is pride; considering your own will to be greater than God's authority.
Jesus taught that the difference between wise and foolish house builders was not found in their knowledge, but in how they applied that knowledge in practice. Both heard the word of God, but only the wise man obeyed it and built his life in such a way that it could withstand any storm. Obedience prepares us to receive the blessings promised in Deuteronomy 28.
Are you delaying in obeying any of God's commands? Is there someone you have yet to forgive, or a bad habit you need to give up? Strong faith is built only when we repeatedly say "Yes, Lord" to God, even in difficult situations. Do not be a hearer of the word only, but also become a person who obeys it. The beginning of your beautiful tomorrow starts with your obedience today.
